Location: Rivah Restaurant and Marina
On April 10, 2025 at approximately 8:00 PM, emergency units were dispatched to the Rivah Restaurant and Marina for a report of a 38-foot vessel that had sunk while moored at the pier.
Upon arrival, Chief 6 assumed command and coordinated response operations. According to witnesses, the vessel had been observed taking on water for several days. As a result of worsening wind and water conditions, the boat became fully submerged. A fuel and oil sheen was visible on the water, prompting immediate environmental hazard mitigation actions.
Hazardous Materials teams, including HM Spill 16 and HM20, deployed containment boom with the assistance of Boat 5A and additional support crews to prevent further spread of gasoline and oil from the submerged vessel.
