He was a dedicated Boy Scouts leader and counselor, ensuring his 5 sons achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, and his daughter a 1st Class Girl Scout.
In the church community, he was an avid member of the Knights of Columbus, taught CCD, was a Eucharistic Minister, and an usher. He was a parishioner at Sacred Heart Church in La Plata.
Tradition was important to him - Saturday night popcorn, after church, and Sunday night homemade pizza, a weekly event that everyone in the family
attended. There were also pool parties, birthday gatherings and Redskins games. Family was his highest priority.
David was a charter/lifetime member of the Dentsville EMS Station (now DVEMSFD) and was there for 27 years. He became an ambulance driver after his retirement.
