| On Sunday, Oct. 12 around 6:25 PM, firefighters responded to a garage fire on Cannon Court in Bryans Road. Crews arrived to find heavy fire coming from the garage, with flames spreading into the home.
Over 50 firefighters were dispatched to the scene, E112, E72, C11A, T20, T12, worked quickly to get the fire under control, BC11B (McCormick) held incident command, CH8 assisted IC, remaining units "stagged on scene" No injuries were reported.
The fire was ruled accidental, caused by ashes left in a box inside the garage, notification was made to the Office of the State Fire Marshall.
The American Red Cross is helping 3 adults and 2 children displaced by the fire.
