First, we want to congratulate Potomac Heights Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad for being the outstanding host" for the SMVFA Annual Convention May 2, 2021. Throughout the past year many hours of planning, logistics, and patience prevailed in response to the COVID pandemic a virtual convention taking place with minimal "in person" attendance. All CDC guidelines were followed and as a result the Charles County Volunteer Fire and EMS Associations are extremely proud to announce Jeff Clements from Potomac Heights elected as President, Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen's Association serving Charles, St. Mary's and Calvert Counties until May 2022.
