| The Charles County Volunteer Fire Association is issuing a challenge to every volunteer fire department in Charles County.
Charles County Government will host the 2026 Heavy Metal Truck Rodeo on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Regency Furniture Stadium in Waldorf.
All volunteer departments are encouraged to select their very best Driver/Operator—someone recognized for precision driving, safe apparatus operations, and professional skill—to represent their department at the event.
The Charles County Volunteer Fire Association will present a special trophy to the winning Volunteer Fire Driver/Operator. Along with the trophy, the winner will earn annual countywide bragging rights.
The challenge is officially open: Which volunteer department has the best Driver/Operator in Charles County?
Chiefs are encouraged to nominate their top driver for the opportunity to compete and prove their skills. |
