The Charles County Volunteer Firemen’s Association honors and remembers the members of its fire, rescue, and EMS family who were recognized during the 2026 Maryland State Firefighters Association and Ladies Auxiliary Memorial Service held on June 21, 2026, in Ocean City, Maryland. This annual event serves as a solemn tribute to those who dedicated their lives to serving others, whose legacy continues to inspire future volunteers and emergency responders.

The Association pauses to reflect on the commitment, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion these individuals showed to the citizens of Charles County. Their service went beyond responding to emergencies—they were mentors, leaders, friends, and family members who helped shape the traditions of volunteer service that define our communities.

As their names were read and their memories honored before the Maryland fire-rescue service community, it was clear that their impact endures through every call answered, every life saved, and every volunteer who carries on their work. Their dedication will never be forgotten.

The Charles County Volunteer Firemen’s Association extends its deepest gratitude to the families who shared their loved ones with the fire and rescue service and who continue to uphold their legacy.

Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.

The Association invites the community to join in remembering and honoring these valued members of the Charles County Volunteer Firemen’s Association family.
