| This episode of Your Charles County takes viewers behind the scenes of the 911 system, highlighting the training that prepares emergency call operators. Students enrolled in the Emergency Telecommunications Certification course learn how calls are managed, how dispatchers maintain composure during stressful situations, and how help is dispatched quickly and accurately. Through a partnership between the Charles County Board of Education and emergency services leaders, the program provides students with an early advantage in pursuing careers in firefighting, EMS, and public safety.
