| Icy Driveway Make House Fire Difficult for Crews |

| At approximately 3:50 AM Charles County 911 Center received a call from the homeowner "their house was on fire near the front door" sending over 60 Fire/EMS personnel to the scene. Chief 8A (Danielson) arrived on the scene confirming a fire from the front of the house. Command requested numerous "brush vehicles" be dispatched due to the heavy ice conditions on the street. E84, B8, B21, have made it to the structure, beginning the extinguishing process. Manpower from the responding units reported to the scene on foot to assist. Chief 8B (Newman) assigned "Operations". One occupant from the home is injured with burns to the hands, PA8, PA51, and ATV8 are with the patient. Command has requested all "brush trucks" to come down to the scene use all water and return to the main road to refill. Command advises he will hold All Brush Units, TA7, TA8, EMS Units, returning all others. PA209 sent to the scene for an injured crew member from PA8 who slipped on the ice. PA209 transporting crew member to CRMC - Priority #3. PA51 enroute to CRMC with occupant with burns Priority #3. Command requesting SMECO to cut power to the residence.
