| Nanjemoy Volunteers and surrounding departments were dispatched to the 3300 block of Port Tobacco Road in Nanjemoy this morning, after receiving reports of a structure fire and concerns that occupants may be trapped. At approximately 10:37 a.m. and initially described a house fire affecting a single-family home, according to the early information provided to our 911 Call Center. Upon arrival, fire officials found that a residential property was not involved and that no individuals were trapped. Incident commanders confirmed the fire was contained to a camper and surrounding brush located around 900 feet from the roadway. Crews worked to control the flames while continuing with the initial response assignment. No injuries occurred during the incident. |
