Waldorf Volunteers Mourn the Loss of Active Member

The Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. is saddened to announce the untimely passing of Company 3 active member, Corey Porter, on April 8th, 2024.

Corey joined the Waldorf VFD – Company 3 in early 2017, following in the footsteps of his father and life member Scott Porter.

Corey was well liked and respected in the department.

Corey was hired by the Naval District Washington Fire Department – Patuxent River in 2021.

Throughout the years of his career, he became a truck driver, and was in the process ofbecoming an acting officer.

Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

Funeral arrangements are as follow:

Thursday April 18th, 2024 – Bryans Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad
- Guests will be allowed to enter starting at 1145hrs. with Firemen’s Prayers at 1245hrs.
- Departure from BRVFD to Trinity Memorial Gardens at 1345hrs.
- Interment at Trinity Memorial Gardens at 1430hrs.
- Repass at BRVFD at 1600hrs.
