The Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department is saddened to announce the passing of Life Member Robert L. Dofflemyer (Bob).

Bob had been an active member of the department for 59 years and during his tenure, held offices which included Chairman of the Board, President, and Assistant Fire Chief.

Additionally, Bob was a longtime instructor with MFRI, up to the last 6 years. Bob still came up to the station weekly and enjoyed seeing the members and firehouse. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at the Waldorf VFD Station 3, located on 3245 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, Maryland.

The family will be receiving guest from 0930 – 1130 hrs.

Funeral services will start at 1130 hrs. With interment immediately following at Trinity Memorial Gardens.

Attendees are welcome to return to Fire Station 3 for the repass after the interment.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be considered to the First Baptist Church of St. Charles, 136 Stoddert Avenue, Waldorf, Maryland 20602 or the Waldorf VFD, 3245 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, MD 20602.
