Dentsville Volunteers Make Quick Work on Detached Shed Fire

at approximately 11:30 A.M. the 911 Center received numerous calls for smoke in the area of 12000 block of Durner Place. Surrounding volunteer departments from Charles and St. Mary's Counties responded to the location with 40 personnel. Chief 2 (Herbert) arrived on scene establishing command, reporting a 20x40 detached shed well involved in fire. As units arrived, Chief 15 (King) arrived assuming command, Chief 2 having operations. Chief 10 (Hammett) arrived and was assigned water supply; layout and shuttle instructions were given to responding tankers, fire extinguished in about 30 minutes after "metal roof" was removed from the pile, no injuires reported.
