While crews were clearing the first "mass casualty" 911 received calls for a school bus involved in an accident with two passenger cars on Southbound #301 at Sub-Station Road in Waldorf. Fire/EMS arrived on scene reporting some minor injuries and additional ambulances were requested for transport. County Special Operations Chief (Gimmel) assumed command and requested a school board representative to the scene. After evaluation by County EMS Chief (Mitchell) additional ambulances were cancelled. Fourteen students onboard the bus were taken back to their school and released to their parents. Chief 12B (Turner) assisted at the command post, County EMS Chief 17A (Mitchell) had "operations".
