David H. Franklin 63 of Newburg, MD passed away on Saturday August 27, 2022 at his home.

David was born in La Plata, MD on October 31, 1958 to the late Stonewall and Grace Franklin. He is also predeceased by his sister, Barbara Herbert.

He is survived by his sons, Reid Franklin and Trevor Franklin; daughters, Danyel Wolfe and Stacy Frye; grandchildren, Zayna Wolfe, Zayleigh Wolfe, Ryder Franklin, Brianna Fenwick and Devon Fenwick.

David retired from Southern Maryland Oil as the Service Manager. He is a lifetime member of the La Plata Volunteer Fire Department. He also enjoyed the outdoors hunting, fishing and crabbing.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday September 6, 2022 from 5 to 7 PM and on Wednesday September 7, 2022 from 10 AM until service time at 12 noon at the La Plata Volunteer Fire Department (911 Washington Ave. La Plata, MD 20646). Interment to follow at the Dentsville Methodist Cemetery.
