Vehicle Into the Building in Waldorf

At 11:38 A.M. 911 received a call from the 4200 blk of South Winds Place that a person drove his car into the building. 35 Fire/EMS members from area volunteer departments including the Special Operations Division responded to find a vehicle jumped the curb striking the unoccupied area of the 4 story apartment building. Special Ops Chief (Gimmel) requested the building be evacuated until the safety of the structure can be obtained. Chief 12B (Turner) assumed "command", requested remaining units to stage prior to the entrance of the complex. The county building inspector was requested to the scene. The 58 y/old male driver was uninjured, power secured to the effected apartment. E31, TW3, RE1, CH12B PA129, BCH1, SOC17 will wait for building inspector, returning reminder of the units

UPDATE: Building inspector has declared the three upper floor apartments uninhabitable until repairs can be made. Property management has relocated the families involved to other locations on the property.
