High Angle Rescue Assignment to Cliffton Community

at 11:30 A.M. Charles County 911 Center received a call for a vehicle that drove down a cliff into the swamp. The "High Angle Rescue" Assignment was immediately dispatched bringing our rescue assets from across the county with 30 personnel. RE14 arrived on scene, established "command" and secured their members to life rope ascending down the cliff approximately 60 feet to the vehicle. They checked the two occupants of the vehicle, no injuries reported and began assisting them to the top of the cliff. A148 evaluated the female driver who
refused any medical treatment. CCSO is conducting an investigation to the cause of the incident
