Commercial Building Fire in Waldorf

Right at 7:00 P.M. this evening Waldorf Volunteers and surrounding departments were called to "smoke coming from the building" at 44 Industrial Park Drive. County Deputy Fire Chief 17A (Herbert) arrives a minute later confirming smoke from the building at the roof line. As fire suppression units from Waldorf 3/12 arrived, they advanced hose lines into the structure encountered heavy smoke conditions throughout the building on the first and second floors. Command was established by Chief 12B (Sutter); while searching the building E31 immediately located the fire in a small room located at the top of the stairs and heavy smoke damage throughout. Fire was controlled in ten minutes of dispatch, building ventilated, overhaul, Fire Marshal's Office on scene conducting an investigation, no injuries reported. 57 Fire/EMS personnel were on scene including mutual aid from PGFD
