It was 2:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, the Benedict Volunteers along with Charles County Sheriff's Office and MD State Police made "lil man" DeClan Bennett smile on his 4th birthday. In spite of the rainy weather it did not stop their mission to be sure Mill Creek Road was full of fire trucks and police cars with lights aglow! Declan's Mom was quoted as saying "thanks to everyone, the smile on his face was priceless!" We all would like to say "Happy Birthday to DeClan" and will look forward to his joining our team someday.
