Ten temporary classrooms suffered fire damage Wednesday night, according to Charles County Volunteer Firefighter Public Information Officer Bill Smith.

Most of the damage was in the rear of the structures, Smith said.

When asked if the fire was storm related, Smith said it was too early to determine as of yet what caused the fire.

"We haven't even investigated that yet," he said. "We're still hitting the hot spots."

According to Jeff Duer, there was 100 volunteer personnel on the scene from Charles and Prince George's counties. Duer said Calvert and St. Mary's County units would be filling in at affected stations.

"The fire was in the trailers classroom units," Duer said. "The main school building was not affected."
