Volunteers Represented in Annapolis

I had the honor to represent Charles County Volunteer Fire and EMS offering testimony on Senate Bill 432 "Building Used for Agritourism" in Charles County. Basically the bill will allow those farms in Charles County that have barns on their property converted into buildings to be used for venues such as weddings, corn mazes, etc. with a 200 person capacity very similar to those in other counties. All fire regulations and permit processes must be followed prior to final occupancy permit approved. After consultation with the MD State Fire Marshal we support Senator Arthur Ellis in this legislation and provided written and oral testimony offering support on Wednesday afternoon in Annapolis.
