Volunteers Respond to Structure Fire in Pomfret

Passer-by called our 911 center to report a "chimney fire" on Clearview Place in Pomfret sending La Plata, Bryans Road, Potomac Heights, Tenth District, Bel Alton, Waldorf, Indian Head, and Cobb Island EMS responding to the scene with 49 volunteers. Battalion Chief 1B arrived established command followed by E12 and T1 who made an aggressive attack from the front. Chief 1 arrived assumed command, Chief 1B went inside as division supervisor with Chief 11. Units found the location of the fire to be in the attic with some extension. Fire is out, Command holding units from La Plata, Potomac Heights, Tenth District. No injuries, Red Cross notified to assist the occupants...
