Modeled after the famous markets in Germany, this annual three-day event at the fairgrounds offers light displays, holiday food, handmade crafts from local artists and crafters, children activities, a cookie baking contest, shopping, music, and much more. The 2019 market runs from December 13 - 15.

The Charles County Fair Board and Christmas Market committee want to encourage locals and visitors alike to come out to enjoy the music, shopping, and tasty Christmas treats.

The official tree lighting and arrival of Santa Claus will be held on Friday, December 13th at 5:00 pm.

Admission fee of $3.00 benefits The Southern Maryland Food Bank, Charles Co. Association of Emergency Medical Services and the Charles Co. Volunteer Firemen's Association.
