On Tuesday we had the pleasure of accepting a donation from Cobb Island Volunteer Fire and EMS Department 25 sets of "self contained breathing apparatus" for our High School Fire Rescue Cadet Program. In attendance along with the volunteer leadership from Cobb Island and the Charles County Volunteer Fire Association President Rick Bowie was the Charles County Board of Education Superintendent Dr. Kim Hill and members of the CTE staff Rebecca Pearson and Tracy Chappelear. After introductions and briefing from Chief Lawman we toured the MFRI facility under the guidance of MFRI Regional Coordinator Stevens and everyone saw firsthand what education our cadets are receiving during their classes and the importance of this life saving equipment for firefighters. We thank Cobb Island, the MFRI staff, and the Board of Education for their continued support of our program. Lastly, we thank MD Independent Reporter Deja Ross and Tammy Hands for the photos.
