On Tuesday, June 17 the Charles County Commissioners declared Wednesday, June 18 as Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) Day in Charles County. EMSC supports Emergency Medical Services (EMS), the community-based public service whose presence is vital to children in need. EMSC promotes the high-level emergency care given by EMS providers with pediatric emergency skills. This event allowed children to bring their sick or injured stuffed friends to receive a check-up or repair if needed. Teddy bears were provided while supplies lasted, and giveaway items were provided to promote emergency medical care within our community. Special Thanks to EMS Chief Huber for representing the volunteer EMS Departments.
