| At 6:38 p.m. volunteer departments from Bel Alton and surrounding companies responded to a reported "Barn Struck by Lightning and on Fire" at 8230 Rosier's Place. Upon arrival units reported fire showing from 2 sides. The company officers completed a walk around and determined an "exterior attack" was in order to safely extinguish the fire. The barn was a full of tobacco and companies utilized a specialized foam nozzle to extinguish the deep seated fire. The cause was determined to be lightning strike from a swift moving thunderstorm. All units cleared the scene at 9:52 p.m. |
