Northside Fire/EMS Departments Respond to Worker Trapped Under a Bobcat

This afternoon, just before 2:00 P.M. Waldorf Company #12 Volunteers, Bryans Road Volunteers, and Department of Emergency Services Paramedics responded to a reported "Male Trapped Under a Bobcat Excavating Machine". Units arrived to confirmed a male trapped under the machine, stabilization of the equipment proceeded immediately while Paramedics evaluated the patient. Advanced life support measures were conducted, the machine was hydraulically lifted from the patient freeing him for further immobilization in preparation of transport to an area trauma center. CCSO is conducting further investigation of this incident. Waldorf Volunteer Chief 3 (Jenkins) had "command", Chief 11A (Delozier) had "extrication group".

UPDATE: We are saddened to report this injured male has succumbed to his injuries prior to being airlifted to the trauma center.
