At noon today, dispatched from our 911 Emergency Center, Waldorf Volunteers and surrounding departments were called to Ryon Court in Waldorf for a reported "kitchen on fire". Units quickly arrived to find a 2 story middle of the row town-home with light smoke showing. Once inside Waldorf Engine 32 reported a kitchen fire and Truck #1 assisted with ventilation and opening up the kitchen area for possible extension. Command (Battalion Chief 3A) held Company #3, #12, and Truck #1. 42 personnel responded to the scene, 27 volunteers from Charles County, 15 personnel from mutual aid PGFD, no injuries reported, residents will be staying with relatives as a result of the stove being left on the burner.

We thank our professional 911 Center staff for "a job well done"!!
