Presentation Description:

Much like the battlefield, the fireground demands that firefighters and fire officers function effectively under fire while operating at fires and emergencies. This dynamic presentation challenges the fallacies promoted by the culture of safety and introduces a more appropriate (and scientifically validated) paradigm for fireground operations. The Hard to Kill™ paradigm functions to enhance the success and survivability of firefighters in high-risk environments while honoring a steadfast commitment to the fire service's mission of protecting the life and property of the public that we serve. This presentation examines tactical, technical, physical and psychological principles as well as small-unit dynamics that yield success and survival in high-risk settings.
