On Saturday February 17th, Ambulance 518, Paramedic Ambulance 517, EMS Utility 51, EMS Chief 51A, and the La Plata VFD responded to a residence in La Plata for a reported cardiac arrest.
After a few minutes of high quality CPR and three shocks, the patient regained a pulse and was transported to Southern Maryland Hospital Center.
We received notification today that the patient is alive and is making a recovery.
